Engage for Gmail Side Panel

Engage For Gmail Side Panel

Engage for Gmail side panel gives you access to more information about email thread participants. From the side panel you can:

  • View available name, company title, address, and phone number of participants.
  • View the score and grade of the corresponding Pardon prospect.
  • View whether the record is a lead, contact, or prospect.
  • If the participant exists as a lead or contact in the Sales force, it will be linked to the record.
  • View the prospect’s recent marketing actions.
  • Add and remove the prospect To and From lists using Add to Nurture.

To use the side panel, open any of your tracked email threads. The side bar will open on the right side of the screen.

  • Emails sent with Engage for Gmail are sent through Google’s email servers — not Pardon’s.
  • If you have the Sync plugin emails setting enabled on your connector, Engage for Gmail emails will get logged to the lead or contact activity history with “Engage Gmail Email” pretended to the subject.
  • If you have multiple prospects with the same email address, you will be prompted to select which Sales force record you want to track the email on.
  • If you use other Gmail extensions, you may need to minimize them to use the Engage for Gmail side panel, and vice versa.
  • Your Engage for Gmail session will last as long your Sales force sessions are set to persist in your Sales force org’s settings.
  • When you send an Engage email to a recipient, and there isn’t an existing lead or contact with that email address in the Sales force, you will be prompted to create a new lead or contact. The new record will get synced down to Pardon, and a new prospect will be created.
  • If you have multiple prospects with the same email address, you will be prompted to select which Sales force record you want to track the email on.
  • The Engage for Gmail side panel is not compatible with any Gmail Lab features.
  • This extension will overwrite all posted links with our own tracked link URL, and insert an open tracker into the email body content.
  • You can only send to one recipient at a time.
  • Email opens and clicks are tracked in Pardot.
  • You won’t be able to select a template until you’ve entered the recipient email address.
  • Variable tags included with a template will populate. Variable tags that are added in Gmail will not populate. Note that Engage for Gmail supports only variable tags based on prospect fields. Variable tags based on account fields will not populate.
